Hands-on, movement-rich classes that introduce young musicians to the piano in small, carefully matched groups.

Intro to Piano: Small-Group Classes for Ages 3–6

Hello!

These group classes introduce children in Pre-K and Kindergarten to the piano in collaborative classes which lay the foundation for successful piano study.  Through rote playing, improvisation, and follow-the-leader pieces as well as movement, singing and rhythm patterns, children will learn the layout of the keyboard, diatonic note letter names, and correct piano technique, while continuing and strengthening their music development.  These classes are structured for 3-4 students.  Families are provided with a detailed practice outline making at-home practice easy.

Ages 3–4: Musical Explorations (Early Beginner)

A playful, movement-rich introduction designed for very young learners.

  • Develop the foundational skills needed to transition into private study

I enrolled my 2.5-year-old daughter in Kaitlyn’s preschool class and was so happy to see her learning piano basics — black and white keys, high and low, slow and fast — as well as awareness of each of her fingers, with the clever use of some very cute finger puppets! She is comfortable now sitting at the piano and is eager to learn more. I’m excited to have Kaitlyn continue being her piano teacher for years to come.
